Background:

 

United Sisterhood Alliance (Us) is an alliance of four social groups includes Women’s Network for Unity (WNU), Worker’s Information Center (WIC), The Messenger Band (MB), and Social Action for Community and Development (SACD). The alliance has a mission to build and strengthen women and people’s movements that strive for social justice and equality. We are looking for IT officer (full-time job) to join our team. This position is opened for national applicants.

 

Announcement Positions

LOCATION: Phnom Penh

SCHEDULE: Full-time

SALARY: $350 - $450

 

Report to: Technical Officer and Liaison Officer

Due date: 29 December, 2022

Location: Phnom Penh and occasionally join the team missions to provinces

Expected start: January , 2023 – 31 December, 2023

DUTIES

  • Manage and maintain computers network, internal server, internet, wireless router, printer, scanner, computers operations, user helpdesk, and user computer training
  • Ensure to maintain a secure system by assisting technical officer to conduct regular anti-virus and MS Windows security update, and data backup
  • Trouble shooting system PCs, Email, and Data security Internet problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software
  • Maintain devices such as Fax, DVR, and camera security
  • Secure network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation.
  • Upgrade network by conferring with IT, vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.
  • Configures network and remote email server for new user access, and promptly archives left stall files and removes network access.
  • Monitor and ensure integrity of data on all Us computers, with special reference to the file server. Monitors that weekly backups are completed.
  • Maintain and recommend upgrades, where necessary for Us computer equipment and network infrastructure.
  • Identify and reports on technical needs for any prospective computers and relevant IT material purchase which include gathering the price quotations.
  • Identify applicable software license to carry out tasks in office
  • Keep informed about major security flaws, fixes, and new viruses. Take necessary steps to ensure that the Us system is always up-to-date and system integrity is not compromised.
  • Perform a regular maintenance schedule on the file server and gateway machines (virus scanning, file defragmentation and disk cleanup). Ensure regular cataloguing.
  • Check daily TCP/UDP and firewall logs for evidence of viral, hacker or other non-standard activity.
  • Maintain IT infrastructure to make sure all systems are working normally
  • Monitor internal CCTV
  • Keep update and promote Us’ website
  • Work closely with the project team members of Us
  • Keen to learn and engage in programme works

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree in Information Technology (IT) or related field;
  • At least 2 year’s work experience of network and system management, database development, and data backup;
  • Knowledge of server, telecommunication systems, concepts, applicable methodologies, tools, standards, procedures and relevant policies;
  • Ability to configure Mikrotik router and manage Windows serversand Linux, Cisco Routers, Switches, Wireless and IP Telephony systems;
  • Strong support and problem-solving on the provide role skill;
  • Experience in managing IT project is plus;
  • Good command of English language;
  • Enthusiastic and creative;
  • Ability to work under pressure on challenging and sensitive issue; and high self-motivated and able to work with a high level of responsibility and with limited supervision, in a team and independently.
