Social Action for Community and Development (SACD), an independent non-governmental organization, works to build/strengthening and support the people’s movement, youth, and feminist activists for just socio-economy, gender justice, and participatory democracy in Cambodia. SACD was formed in 2009 as an informal technical group called Social Action for Change (SAC) by three former staff members of Women’s Agenda for Change (WAC). SAC registered with Ministry of Interior (MoI).   

We are seeking to recruit a passionate Cambodian candidate to join our team as a full-time intern for Media Campaign and Communication. The contract will be for 9 months (01st April – 31st December, 2021).

Role and Responsibilities: 
  • Conduct regular monitoring and updating of SACD public domain, including social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram) and website and its trends;
  • Produce and/or assisting the programme team to develop the popular educational material such as short video documentary, infographic/video infographic, and posters;  
  • Gather and filling emerged laws and regulations around media security and right to information; 
  • Translating SACD existing publication and other relevant documents; 
  • Support SACD’s team as needed; 
  • Join team capacity building in both concepts and skills building; and
  • Preparing progressive narrative sixth months report   
 
Requirement: 
  • Having a background and interest in the work of media campaign and communication
  • Having creative idea on popular education and IEC material development  
  • Open to learn and work in a collective way as a team and independent  
  • Having the knowledge and awareness on human rights, needs and challenges of working-class women, youth, small-scale farmers/peasants, and rural communities in Cambodia
  • Able to use Microsoft office: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point and basic design
  • Honest, hardworking, humble and respect the diversity
